The First ‘Twilight Zone’ Reboot Teaser Will Give You Goosebumps

During the Super Bowl, we finally got our first look at Jordan Peele’s upcoming Twilight Zone reboot, and the teaser perfectly captured the spirit of the classic series.

What first appeared to be the broadcast of the game on CBS returning from commercial soon revealed itself to be something else entirely. The picture cut out, revealing that CBS was “off the air” (technically that’s more The Outer Limits than The Twilight Zone, but we’ll let it slide). The stadium then went from being filled with screaming fans to being completely empty save for one man in a black suit strolling across the field. A narration begins, with the solitary man making unsettling and confusing statements. The man is then revealed to be Peele himself, who steps through a door to nowhere in the middle of the field as a slightly altered version of the iconic theme song swells, cutting to the original Twilight Zone logo and a gloriously soon release date. Check it out below.

The reboot, which Peele is hosting in addition to executive producing, has already announced an impressive slate of acting talent for its initial run of episodes. Greg Kinnear, Adam Scott, Jessica Williams, Jacob Tremblay, Taissa Farmiga, Ike Barinholtz, Steven Yeun, John Cho, Kumail Nanjiani, Allison Tolman, and Sanaa Lathan will all appear in episodes with titles like “Rewind,” “Wunderkind,” “The Traveler,” and “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet” — a not-so-subtle reference to the classic William Shatner-starring episode, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.”

The 10 episode first season will begin streaming on CBS All Access on April 1, so start preparing yourself to enter another dimension now.
