COMET’s Cooking Up a Freaky Feast This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a day for stuffing your face and hanging out with family, but COMET is starting a new tradition: A marathon of monster movies that is sure to satisfy your B-movie cravings.

Dubbed the “Freaky Feast Movie Marathon,” the 12-hour long smorgasbord contains six monster movies in the COMET tradition. In other words, they’re all awesome, campy, and wildly under-appreciated. The films each feature a different form of beast, some of which naturally eat people (it is Thanksgiving, after all), and all of which go on major rampages. Here’s the line up for Turkey Day:

Superbeast – 10 am ET/PT, 9 am CT

This one’s got it all: A mad scientist, a jungle laboratory, and a genetic experiment gone wrong. Sounds a little like your aunt’s ambrosia, no?

The Incredible Melting Man – 12 pm ET/PT, 11 am CT

What type of gelatinous blob is more horrifying than a jello mold? Why it’s this astronaut who turns into a murderous melting monster during a mission to Saturn.

Howling II: Your Sister Is a Werewolf – 2 pm ET/PT, 1 pm CT

If your sister nabs the last drumstick this Thanksgiving, just be glad she’s not eating you.

The Video Dead – 4 pm ET/PT, 3 pm CT

Zombies leap out of a cursed TV and terrorize a suburban family. Having your in-laws spend the holidays with you doesn’t seem so terrifying anymore, does it?

The Beast Within – 6pm ET/PT, 5 pm CT

You may feel like you have a beast within your belly after OD’ing on carbs, but at least you don’t have to worry about it manifesting as a literal monster and breaking through your skin… or do you?

Creature – 8pm ET/PT, 7 pm CT

A murderous alien emerges from an egg to stalk and kill rival American and German space explorers. That’ll teach ’em for not honoring the Thanksgiving spirit of togetherness.

So forget about football and start a new tradition this Thanksgiving with COMET!
