New Alien: Covenant Pictures Reveal the Gruesome Alien Neomorph

The release of Alien: Covenant is just around the corner, and 20th Century Fox has started to crank up the curiosity by releasing a series of new images from the Ridley Scott movie. Featured in Empire, the photos reveal our best look yet at the franchise’s newest alien beast, and continue to have us guessing about the potentially sinister intentions of Michael Fassbender’s David.

In the first image, we see David at his Weyland-Yutani birthplace….

The next image is undoubtedly the most mysterious. What’s clear is that somebody is dropping dozens of the alien pods we saw from Prometheus onto an unknown planet. Who that figure is and why they are dropping those pods of certain doom on the planet, however, is not quite so clear.

Finally, and most excitingly, here’s an image that shows the gruesome alien Neomorph…

Whatever that Neomorph is doing, it didn’t end up well for the person who got to meet it. As for who that person is, it’s anybody’s guess, but you can start placing your bets after watching these new ‘crew message’ videos, below.

Alien: Covenant is released in theaters on May 19th.
