Bill Nye Saves the World

Bill Nye Drops The Mic On Antiscience In Trailer For Bill Nye Saves The World

Bill Nye is making a much-needed return to our screens with a new series titled, somewhat appropriately, Bill Nye Saves the World. Set for release on Netflix in April, Nye’s new show takes direct aim at the growing antiscience movement as it looks to lay out the facts on an array of controversial issues. Such subject matter could be considered dry by some of Netflix’s key viewers, but as the first trailer for the show reveals, Bill Nye Saves The World looks like a whole lot of nerdy fun.

If anything, the trailer makes the show look a little reductive in nature – celebrity guests and lots of silliness doesn’t exactly scream hard-hitting science fact– but let’s give The Science Guy the benefit of the doubt. If Nye is to be successful in spreading his message, it might just be that fist-bumping with experts and celebrities in-front of a studio audience are a necessary tool.

From April 21st, 13 episodes of Bill Nye Saves The World will tackle issues including Climate Change, Fad Diets, Space Exploration, and Sex. At a time when important scientific standards appear to be under attack, it could just be that this show is exactly what we need.
