Michael Myers

Michael Myers Cameos in New ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Clip

Stranger Things season 2 is almost here, and the hotly-anticipated series doesn’t really need to do much to entice us to tune in — but they’re pulling out all the stops anyway with an awesome new Halloween-themed clip featuring a cameo from the mascot of the holiday himself, Michael Myers.

The short clip appears as a bonus after one defeats the free Stranger Things 8-bit mobile game that was released earlier this week on iOS and Android. The clip doesn’t play into the larger mythos of the series, and is instead a fun scene depicting the four boys — Will, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin — trick-or-treating as Ghostbusters… or, as one ill-formed woman assumes, exterminators. They then get into an argument over Three Musketeers’ worth as a candy bar before being startled by the killer from the Halloween franchise. Check it out below.

OK, so it’s not really Michael Myers, just a girl in a mask, but the clip definitely shows that season 2 will be just as fun and full of ’80s nostalgia as the pitch-perfect first season. And speaking of that ’80s nostalgia, the series has also released a new season 2 teaser which plays up the conspiracy theory angle by suggesting that there was something off about the world in 1984. New Coke, Olympic boycotts, the SDI… it was a strange time to be alive.

1984 was pretty strange, tbh. #StrangerThings
