Adam West Takes on William Shatner in First Trailer for ‘Batman vs. Two-Face’

It turns out the late Adam West left one amazing gift for us after he passed away earlier this year: An animated Batman movie where he squares off against William Shatner’s Two-Face.

The movie, Batman vs. Two-Face, has just released its first trailer and it of course looks amazing. The film marks West’s last performance as the Caped Crusader, and he’s joined by his trusty sidekick Burt Ward as Robin. The pair take on the newly-formed Two-Face, who in this reimagining receives his disfigurement not from acid, but from being sprayed by “essence of evil” gas. If this sounds a bit like the 1960s Batman TV show, well, that’s the point, as this is very much an adaptation of that glorious series; acting as a sequel to last year’s Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, which also featured West and Ward. So get ready for awesomely cheesy lines, cheeky humor, and classic costumes galore.

Also returning from the previous installment are Julie Newmar as Catwoman, Thomas Lennon as Chief O’Hara, Steven Weber as Alfred, Lynne Marie Stewart as Aunt Harriet, and Jim Ward as Commissioner Gordon. The lone major newcomer is Shatner, whose pairing with West is a nerd’s dream come true as the two legends showcase very similar skills as tongue-in-cheek comedic actors. This also marks the first time West’s Batman has taken on Two-Face, as the iconic villain never appeared on the original live action series.

Batman vs. Two-Face, which looks like it’s a thousand times better than Batman v Superman, will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on October 17.
