While everyone is gearing up for the return of the Xenomorph to the big screen in Alien: Covenant this week, another famous Hollywood alien is hard at work shooting scenes for their own long-awaited franchise revival. Next year, Shane Black’s The Predator will bring the legendary alien back to theaters for the first time in eight years, and while we’ve seen photos of most the movie’s cast, we’ve been made to wait for our first look at the titular Predator. But, this weekend brought us that first look, and it’s a little more surprising than we were expecting it to be…..
The image, shot by photographer Jarrod Au, appears to show two Predators riding an armored vehicle with two of the movie’s key cast members in tow. Does this mean they’re fighting alongside the humans, or are the cast and crew simply enjoying a bit of R&R on set? Either way, we’re more intrigued than ever about this movie.
Starring Boyd Holbrook (Narcos), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), and Thomas Jane (The Expanse), The Predator is slated for release on February 9th, 2018.
