After months of waiting and speculation, Disney and LucasFilm finally released the first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi today, sending the thousands of fans packed into Star Wars Celebration into raptures. While it was expected that this first look would be more of a full theatrical teaser, it ended up being closer to a teaser. Still, there was a ton of new information to unpack from the footage, so jump right in and start to speculate wildly about what you’re witnessing.

Those who were looking for a trailer that provided major clues about The Last Jedi‘s plot points will have been disappointed, but fans who appreciate any footage that doesn’t give too much away will be delighted. The words “It’s time for the Jedi to end” will be echoing in everybody’s head right now, and it’s that sentence uttered by Luke Skywalker that look set to be this movie’s big mystery.
As well as the new trailer, a new (and beautiful) poster was also released, giving us a further hint that Luke could be struggling to resist the temptation of the Dark Side.
