Beaster Bunny

There’s A New Easter Bunny Horror Movie And We Don’t Know How To Feel About It

When it comes to holiday-themed movies, the Horror genre has us pretty well covered. Halloween has obviously been explored extensively, while Christmas has the likes of Krampus and Gremlins to give us those seasonal scares. But, anybody looking for a holiday horror over the Easter period will likely be disappointed. For some reason, the season of fluffy bunnies and egg hunts has been tragically overlooked by the horror greats. Unfortunately, we’re not able to tell you that the long wait for a top-quality Easter horror flick is over, but we can tell you about a new Easter-themed B-Movie called….Beaster Bunny.

The movie was actually produced a few years ago with the name Beaster Day: Here Comes Peter Cottonhell, but for this year’s release it’s dropping the title that parodies the beloved Easter kids story, Here Comes Peter Cottontail. As for the premise, it’s exactly as ridiculous as you would expect:

A 50-foot man-eating Easter bunny is on the loose and the townsfolk don’t stand a hop in hell. As the bloodthirsty, floppy-eared killer leaves a trail of dismembered corpses, the town’s only chance of survival rests with a wannabe actress and a crazy dog-catcher. God help them!

Beaster Bunny is available on DVD and On Demand now, but we suggest you watch the trailer to decide where this falls on your ‘So Bad It’s Good’ spectrum.
