If you’ve always thought the truth was out there about UFOs, the Pentagon wants you to know that you were right all along. There are definitely unexplained things in the sky that have managed to stump even our military, as three officially-released videos seem to prove.
The three declassified videos depict “unexplained aerial phenomena,” which is just the military’s new, less ridicule-inducing term for unidentified flying objects. The videos had all been previously leaked online in recent years by The New York Times and Blink 182 singer Tom Delonge’s UFO research company To the Stars, but now they have been given extra credence with this official Pentagon release. “DOD [Department of Defense] is releasing the videos in order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos,” the Pentagon said in a statement. “The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as ‘unidentified’.”
The three videos were captured by the Navy in 2004 and 2015, respectively, and they’re certainly interesting. The 2004 video shows a small, tic tac-shaped craft cruising along just above the Pacific Ocean as the stunned Navy pilots observing it try to figure out just what it is they’re looking at. The two 2015 videos show objects high in the sky, one of which is observed mysteriously rotating. One pilot also comments about there being a “whole fleet of them,” but only the one is observable in the video. You can check out all three sightings below.
While these videos certainly don’t come close to confirming the existence of extraterrestrials, they definitely seem to indicate that there is something weird going on in the skies.
