Camp Crystal lake has been the home of Jason Voorhees for over 30 years, but it’s never been the type of place where most people would ever consider staying, thanks to, you know, all of the murders that take place there. However, if you’re feeling brave, you now have the opportunity to do just that.
Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, located in Northwestern New Jersey, served as the filming location for 1980’s Friday the 13th, representing what horror films around the world will recognize as Camp Crystal Lake. The camp is owned by the Boy Scouts of America and is not generally open to the public, but on one weekend in April, you’ll have the chance to stay at the camp and see if you can survive the night.
On Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14, Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is holding a Camp Crystal Lake Tour, where attendees will be able to tour the property, have dinner, and if they spring for the extra VIP package, stay the night on-site in a cabin just like Alice in the first film. Speaking of Alice, the actress who portrayed her — Adrienne King — will also be there that weekend to hang out with VIP guests. The camp, which has been operated by the notoriously wholesome Boy Scouts organization since 1927, had long resisted its connection to the gory franchise, but that changed in 2011 when they held their first Camp Crystal Lake Tour. The tour was an instant and monumental success, and they’ve held several more since then, with this year’s tour being the fifth and the biggest yet.

The VIP tickets are sold through auction, with the highest bidders taking them home, while the tour-only tickets are distributed through a lottery. Lots of people are looking to get an arrow through the chest, it seems.
