Here’s Your First Peek At the Newest ‘Tremors’ Movie

The Tremors franchise is back in a big way, with both a new TV series starring Kevin Bacon and a new (and possibly final) movie in the current film canon on the way. And if the new movie, Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, is indeed the finale for the Michael Gross-led series of sequel, it looks like they’re going out on top judging by these newly released photos.

The pics show Gross as Graboid killer extraordinaire Burt Gummer, along with his sidekick Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) and some new allies, as the group heads to the arctic for what promises to be the first-ever battle with the giant subterranean worms in a snowy setting. And although the pictures don’t actually show any snow (or Graboids), Burt’s white camo outfit suggests that we should expect to see him in cooler climates. Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell does not yet have an official release date, but it’s expected to premiere sometime later this year. As for the unrelated Tremors TV series, the show wrapped its pilot in November, and we’re still waiting to hear when it will premiere on Syfy, but it, too, is expected at some point this year. Whoever would have thought that 2018 would be the year Tremors makes a comeback? Besides Burt Gummer, of course.
