Millie Bobby Brown became an instant star thanks to her role as telekinetic badass Eleven on Netflix’s Stranger Things, and now the 12-year-old actress has just landed her first movie role, and it’s a big one… literally.
The young star scored a role in the upcoming sequel to 2014’s Godzilla, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. No word yet on just who Brown will be portraying, but we’re really hoping she gets to face off against the giant reptile at some point since she already has a strong history of monster-fighting on her résumé.
The film, which is set to premiere on March 22, 2019, will be directed by Krampus director Michael Dougherty, who stepped in last year after the director of the franchise’s previous film — Rogue One‘s Gareth Edwards — dropped out of the project. But, having Dougherty on board may have ended up being the deciding factor in Brown deciding to join the film.
“I just had a really incredible connection with the director,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight. “I had a great meeting with him and you know, I just really love him … It’s my first movie. I’m really excited and that’s really all I can say, but it’s going to be great!”
