The Injustice video game was a smash hit for multiple reasons, but it was the twisted storyline featuring most of DC Comics’ biggest names that was one of the biggest factors. The first game, which spawned an equally trippy comic series, featured Superman taking over the world before throwing down against an insurgent Batman. The story was fun, and the fighting gave us a chance to ask all of those ‘Who would win in a fight?’ questions we’ve always wanted to see answered.
Now, almost 4 years later, the first story trailer for Injustice 2 has been released, and it looks like the game’s creators have found new ways to make things weird in the DC Universe.
Batman v Robin, Supergirl v Wonder Woman, Superman v….everyone? The official Injustice site teases the “biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game,” and with Braniac entering the fray, you just know things are about to get crazy.
Injustice 2 is released on May 16th 2017 and is available for pre-order now.
