Aliens Take Over Saint Patrick’s Day in ‘Into the Dark: Crawlers’ Trailer

Saint Patrick’s Day is generally a day for celebrating Irish heritage, wearing green, and maybe having a drink or two (or more), but in the trailer for the newest Into the Dark film, Crawlers, it’s a day for fighting an alien invasion.

Into the Dark is Hulu’s anthology series of full-length horror films that take place on various holidays. In the series’ first season, they tackled Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, April Fool’s Day, and more. Now with season 2’s Crawlers, they’re finally taking on Saint Patrick’s Day, and it looks like it could be the wildest celebration yet.

In the film, a group of college kids goes on a bar crawl on the busiest drinking day of the year. It’s all fun and games and green beer until a group of body-snatching aliens shows up and starts infiltrating the town. It’s then up to these young revelers to defeat the aliens and take back their town — all without harshing their buzz. Take a look at the trailer below.

Crawlers looks to be firmly on the campy side of horror and appears considerably less scary than some of Into the Dark‘s other offerings. The movie does look fun though, and the aliens turning their victims’ eyes bright green when they take control of their bodies is a nice festive touch. Frankly, it’s about time we got a non-Leprechaun horror movie for St. Paddy’s, and Crawlers looks like it will fit the bill nicely.

Into the Dark: Crawlers will invade Hulu on March 6.
