Jason Momoa Returns To Atlantis In The First Underwater Footage Of Justice League’s Aquaman

Zack Snyder is busy putting the finishing touches on his upcoming Justice League movie right now, but he took the time to celebrate his birthday by giving us our first glimpse at the underwater world of Aquaman’s Atlantis.

The test footage is incredibly brief, but it’s our first decent look at Momoa in full underwater action on the movie, so it’s more than a little exciting. Snyder initially posted the video to the social media app, Vero, but it has since found its way onto Twitter.

We’ll eventually see more Atlantean action in 2018’s Aquaman, but it’s exciting to see that Justice League will be spending some time there too. It’s not entirely clear how deep the Justice League movie will delve into Aquaman’s backstory, but for Stargate: Atlantis fans, this footage represents their first look at the poetic moment when Momoa returns to the underwater city for the first time since the show ended back in 2009.

If the poetry of that moment is lost on you, this meme should help you out.
